Day out tomorrow

Well, even if it is potentially just the one day.
It has taken a while but as I have no date for my surgery, mine operation was cancelled at the last minute yesterday, I have decided to postpone my self imposed isolation period and I am venturing out again tomorrow with my cameras.
It has been a long while since my last trip out and I am really looking forward to it, and it is an exciting location too, should get some really good photographs.
I have to now try and remember all the tools of the trade and try not to forget something silly, important and probably small. Going to be spending my day packing as I am leaving really early. Might even get to use the NIKKOR MC 105 Z wouldn’t that be nice.
So, watch this space, images will go up over the weekend at some point.
Having now purchased the NIKKOR Z MC 105MM lens I can go looking for those Micro photography subjects that have fascinated me for a long time. With this cold spell now in full flow and the frost clinging to the woodlands I can try and get some of the more intricate shots.

Well, after much discussion and persuasion I have joined Vero. I found that unless you sought sponsorship and boosts on Instagram your followers kept dropping and trying to keep them as I wanted was proving to be an impossible task. The platform is also very limited in what you can do so although I have not left Instagram I am moving over and away from it. I have at long last found the time to include the photographs taken during my recent visit to Munich, Bavaria. Wonderful, beautiful place.
Yesterday I purchased the NIKKOR Z 24MM – 120MM F4 S lens to replace the 24MM – 200MM which was sold today. Although I found the lens decent i was getting frustrated with its limitations and decided to change it.
The downside of the change is obviously the loss in focal length but the gains are much more important, the quality of the lens and photographs being the most important, well I guess that remains to be seen.
After my short spell of illness I was desperate to get out once again but wanted to keep my travels reasonably local, and just 90 minutes away from home there is this beautiful beach in Littlehampton in West Sussex. I left just after lunch hoping to capture a sunset and to photograph what I always thought to be a pier.
The journey took about the time predicted and I arrived as the tide was leaving the beach, although disappointed I was able to walk some of the beach and I captured some wonderful looking images.
Well didn’t that go wrong!
The photography itself went well, the sun was too bright and there was no cloud in the sky whatsoever so it proved to be a difficult couple of days, but wow what a beautiful place to go to and to take photographs.
I stayed at a place called the Annex, booked via bookings.com for £56 for the night, stunning and worth every penny so that comes recommended (here is a link) if you fancy a stay, nothing in it for me but I highly recommend it.
I spent the Friday on the beach ‘slowly’ making my way from one end to the other, I do struggle with these legs these days. I managed to photograph the Pier and some other parts of the beach. My favourite was the Moonrise that Friday night and the Saturday mornings sunrise, beautiful.
So what went wrong you ask? I started to feel poorly on the Saturday morning and went home to discover I had caught COVID! All OK currently and improving daily thankfully.

I have decided to move my website to Square Space so over the coming days, weeks and months I will be uploading some of my previously taken photographs and other content. So please keep coming back.
