Lake Pier

is located on the Northern shore of Poole Harbour, in Hamworthy. The beach is a mix of sand and shingle which is just perfect for walking and admiring the some of the stunning views. Few people know about this hidden gem, which means you may have the beach all to yourself on an evenings stroll.

The old wooden pier juts out into the harbour and was once a landing point for clay for local potters. The weathered structure looks particularly eye catching at sunset when silhouetted against the orange sky, something I often try for.
