The “new” Flamborough Lighthouse, built in 1806, is a prominent landmark on the Yorkshire coast, serving as a vital navigational aid and a popular tourist destination. Designed by Samuel Wyatt, it replaced an earlier, unlit lighthouse and was automated in 1996. The lighthouse is managed by Trinity House, with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council operating the visitor center.
