Clevedon Pier

Clevedon Pier, located in Clevedon, Somerset it is a Grade I listed Victorian pier, celebrated for its unique architecture and historical significance.

It opened on Easter Monday March 29, 1869 and initially served as a landing point for paddle steamers and later as a ferry port. The pier is known for its distinctive wrought-iron design, consisting of eight spans supported by trestles, and a pavilion at the pier head. It has been featured in various films and TV series, and also serves as a popular venue for weddings and educational programs.

A portion of the pier collapsed during a safety test in 1970, prompting a restoration effort that involved public fundraising and the formation of a preservation trust.

It is a stunning location and beautiful pier! Sadly, I did not have the best of weather for this trip, and it was really cold, but the morning I left, I had the best of English breakfasts!

I was met by a couple of friends on the second day and managed to get some wonderful drone footage, which you can see on the vlog!
