Hi guys I just wanted to express my frustration at one of the most successful companies ever to exist in or on planet Earth.

So about February 20 2024 my email account was hacked by an unscrupulous person that obviously did it for either fun or financial gain. As soon as I was hacked I drove quickly home informed my bank and other important places of the hacking so that this unscrupulous person had no access to money or anything else of value.

As soon as I finished those phone calls I tried to contact Microsoft to advise them of hacking so that they could block the hacker and assist me in recovering the account as there was so much information within my email with places such as the US embassy in London.

I was on the phone and talking online to members of staff within Microsoft on many late evenings and was promised that the process had been escalated to a team that would assist in the recovery of my email account. Sadly I heard nothing for ages but decided today to contact Microsoft again to see if they could assist me still as they promised me at my last time of contact.

Today they tell me that my email account was closed permanently and was therefore unrecoverable due to their processes and to protect my data. As much as I am grateful that my data is not available to the unscrupulous person that did the hacking I am extremely frustrated after all these hours on the phone they take the easy option and close and delete an account which is now totally unrecoverable.

This obviously means that I now have no access to any of the emails between myself and the US embassy and other places that I have had to contact over many years.

You would think that a $1 trillion company would be able to assist people in simple things such as recovering an account and removing these people that continue to inconvenience, profit, hack those of us that work and honest day for an honest living. They are obviously another company they just want to make money and their customer service does not stretch out far enough to assist those in their hours of need.

I would suggest that with the money that we pay for the services that they provide this is simply not good enough. I have nothing more to say other than I am very disappointed and actually quite angry with their lack of ability, professionalism, empathy with problems brought to them.
